Due to the new A-H1N1 cases in Digos City National High School(that's what they told me),the supposed-to-be-Digos-Summit in now in DAVAO!
How was the Summit? Well, we qualified in the PSO Nationals...Good Luck to Ellie Reserva, Sophie Villasfer, Arthur Davin and coach Rory Bualan! ANIMO ATENEO!
Our spaghetti bridge ranked second... 900-gram capacity! USM (University of Southern Mindanao) got the first prize... with their 4000+++-gram capacity. Loved their bridge! We cooked the Ateneo bridge afterwards. The birds loved it.
As for the camp activities... i liked last year better. Tagum City National High School we still adore your presentations and games!

Ateneo de Davao High School at the PSYSC Summit 2008 in Tagum City
This is our second year with the PSYSC and we're very much psyched with all their activities!
All of us, Ateneo teachers and students alike, were pretty much excited in participating in the summit. Preparations like getting all those permission forms and medical thing passed us in a blur that all we remember was getting in the school bus bound for Tagum City. Yes, the PSYSC National Science Club Summit took place in Tagum City National High School.
The school has this very friendly atmosphere that we really enjoyed. We saw a lot of new faces and our participants were quite outnumbered (we only have a handful of science club members), but still we felt like we have known the other students from way back. We did activities (very scientifically inclined activities) together with the other schools. It was fun... we got to know other people from our region while working with them.
One of the most memorable activity in the camp was the bonfire. Instead of the usual fire-on-a-log, each of us were given a candle which we will form into this image. What we actually formed was the PSYSC logo. The whole camp ground was breathtaking. The candles had this eerie glow which really worked in our camp atmosphere.
Oh yeah, this was also the venue for the PSYSC Science Olympiad which our school also participated. We'll our school did it and was one of the teams to go to the nationals. Animo Ateneo!
PSYSC bon fire: up close.

Ateneo science club members in the huge church grounds. I don't know the church's name but
everything there is gigantic... rosary, statues, the church... you name it.
The mini park in Tagum National High School... this place is sooooo nice!
